Oxford Flood Relief Channel - public events

The Oxford Flood Alleviation partnership is holding a series of public events in January to consult on the final route for a flood relief channel west of Oxford.

The Examination into the Vale's draft Local Plan is to resume in February 2016. The hearings are to be held at the Beacon, Wantage, from Tuesday 2nd February 2016. The sessions are anticipated to take place over a three week period, ending Friday 18th February.

Planning Inspector Mr Simon Emerson has been appointed to establish whether the West Oxon Local Plan is 'sound', taking into account the representations made earlier this year, as well as national policy.

Devastating South Oxon Green Belt Study

South Oxfordshire District Council has today published a study of the Green Belt in its area. In contravention of government guidance and local wishes, the Study proposes changes to sites across the District, including sacrifice of land at Grenoble Road, Horspath, Wick Farm and Wheatley.

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking to find a long-term strategy to tackle congestion on the A40 and is holding a public consultation to seek views on possible options.
