Do you know of a person, project, group or organisation which is making a positive difference to the countryside? If so, you’ve got until 24 June 2026 to put them forward for an award. Nominations are free and can be submitted by anyone, including self-nominations.
With Oxfordshire home to a wealth of community-led environmental initiatives, conservation projects and countryside volunteers, we hope that local success stories will receive the national recognition they deserve – and show how the Oxfordshire countryside can flourish over the next 100 years.
“Having just joined CPRE Oxfordshire, I’m already struck by the extraordinary commitment and passion shown by people working to protect and enhance our countryside”, says CPRE Oxfordshire’s new Director, Marcus Gilleard. “These awards are a fantastic opportunity to highlight their efforts and celebrate the difference they’re making in communities across the county.”
The winners will be announced at a special awards presentation at the House of Commons in October as part of CPRE’s centenary celebrations.
CPRE has spent the past century campaigning to protect, promote and regenerate England’s countryside. Throughout its centenary year, whilst celebrating past achievements, the organisation is highlighting the importance of local action in shaping the future of rural landscapes and communities.
