South Oxfordshire District Council is currently consulting on the Preferred Options for its Local Plan 2032.  CPRE believes that, where appropriate, higher density development could reduce the greenfield land needed and encourage the right type of housing.  Have you say by 19 August.

Developers Commercial Estates Group (CEG) will be making public their proposals for a new 900 home development on Green Belt land to the north of Abingdon at two exhibitions this month.

A new study published by Oxfordshire County Council proposes building four new Park and Ride sites – all in the Green Belt – at Cumnor, Lodge Hill, Sandford and Oxford Airport/Kidlington.

The Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) has published its response to the recent consultation on its Strategic Economic Plan. However, OxLEP appears determined to press ahead with the forced economic growth strategy regardless.

South Oxfordshire District Council has launched a consultation on its development choices to 2026, including a 3,500+ new settlement at Chalgrove Airfield, a 10% increase in the size of larger villages and a 5% increase for smaller villages. Consultation runs until 19 August.
