Independent Review for Port Meadow

Written by CPRE Oxfordshire

Oxford City Council has announced an Independent Review into the University accommodation development at Port Meadow.

CPRE Oxfordshire welcomes this news as a long overdue step.

Congratulations to our West Oxfordshire volunteers who have received the 2013 Marsh Award for Countryside Champions of the Year for their 25 year campaign against the proposed Cogges Link Road in Witney.

HS2 is consulting on its draft Environmental Statement. But what's the deal on noise, light and other issues? Plenty of room for improvement in our view, but we need public pressure to change things, so tell them what you think!  DEADLINE:  11 July.

New Solar Farm Policy

Written by CPRE Oxfordshire

CPRE Oxfordshire has published its updated policy on solar farms, opposing them because of the damage they do to the landscape and the loss of valuable land.   With an increase in applications across the county, now is the time to take action.

There are serious concerns about contamination at the site of the Oxford University development at Port Meadow.   What are Oxford City Council going to do?
