CPRE Oxfordshire will be seeking to participate in the Hearings and is offering guidance to local action groups and Vale Parish Councils in their approach to the Hearings.

Cherwell District Council’s submitted Local Plan document which will guide the delivery of 22,840 homes and 200 hectares of employment land in the District was adopted at a council meeting on 20 July.

On 15 July, Vale councillors voted for a motion calling on Oxford City to review its Local Plan, but Council Leader Bob Price says he has no intention of reviewing the City's Plan.

A raft of improvement schemes to the A40 will be considered at next week's County Council Cabinet meeting, including a Park & Ride at Eynsham.

Despite public concerns about the suitability of proposed P&R sites in the Green Belt, the County Council wants to push ahead with the scheme.

In a Press Release issued on 8 July, CPRE has said a costly scheme to relocate Park & Ride sites would jeopardise the Green Belt, without any clear benefits.
