West Oxon Local Plan Stage 2 Hearings 9-18 May

CPRE & community groups will be appearing in front of an Inspector to seek improvements to West Oxfordshire’s draft Local Plan, alongside mass ranks of developers! Why not come along and support us?
The hearings will run from 9th – 19th May 2017 in The Council Chamber and Committee Room 1/2 West Oxfordshire District Council Offices, Woodgreen, Witney, OX28 1NB – http://www.westoxon.gov.uk/media/182730/Map-of-Council-offices-in-Witney.pdf
Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe (although cannot actively participate).

The sessions are scheduled to run as follows:
Matter 5 – Legal Compliance – Tues 9th
Matter 6 – The Settlement Hierarchy – Tues 9th & Wed 10th
Matter 7 – Providing New Homes – Wed 10th & Thurs 11th
Matter 8 – Sustainable Economic Growth – Tues 16th
Matter 9 – Transport – Wed 17th
Matter 10 – Environment & Heritage Assets – Thurs 18th.

CPRE will be attending sessions on Matters 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10, seeking to address issues including:
– Overall housing numbers
– Housing density
– Dark Skies
– Renewable energy.
