Only one week left to comment on the Vale’s draft Local Plan, including proposals for significant development in the Green Belt and AONB.

The Vale of White Horse District’s proposed Local Plan sets out development plans in the area through until 2031. A consultation is running on the plan until 19 December, with comments going to an Inspector prior to an Examination in Public next Spring.
In our view, the Plan contains deeply flawed housing figures, with proposals to take over 20 sites out of the Green Belt, including over 1,000 houses across 4 specific sites, and 1,400 houses in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
However, for those who might be interested in a more detailed submission, we are publishing below our ‘almost final’ response to assist you.
