Science Vale Area Action Plan: Issues and Scope Consultation – closes on 17 April.

Hulton Park

10th March 2015

SODC and VoWHDC are consulting on the Science Vale Area Action Plan – Issues and Scope – have your say!

UPDATE 15 APRIL:  CPRE has now submitted its response to this consultation. A copy is available at the foot of this page. Our key concerns are around protection of the Green Belt and North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, preserving the character of our towns and villages and the need for appropriate infrastructure.

This is the first planning policy document to be jointly prepared by South Oxfordshire and Vale of White District Councils. It seeks to align housing and economic growth within Science Vale. The plan proposes strategic development sites to accommodate the housing and employment growth. The area action plan will sit alongside local plans and focus on the delivery and implementation of the growth already planned within Science Vale.

This consultation is seeking to identify the key issues and scope of the area action plan before more work is undertaken to develop specific planning policies. SODC and VoWHDC are seeking your views on the proposed scope, the plan boundary, vision and objectives and whether they have identified all the correct issues.

The consultation runs from 27 February until 5pm on 17 April 2015.

Public consultation events:

• Didcot Railway Station, main entrance, 5 March, 4pm to 7pm;
• Didcot Cornerstone, 6 March, 10am to 1pm;
• Harwell Village Hall, 16 March, 10am to 1pm;
