8th June 2021

England’s Economic Heartland (EEH) has launched two studies to identify where transport investment is needed across the OxCam corridor. The first are Oxford-Milton Keynes; and Peterborough-Northampton-Oxford.

The deadline for responses is 30 June.   **UPDATE: PLEASE SEE THE CPRE REPONSE AVAILABLE AT THE FOOT OF THIS PAGE.**

Survey questions ask respondents to consider:

  • ‘themes’, such as safety, access to public transport and environment;
  • key journeys in the area, how they’re being made and whether modes of travel could change in the future;
  • Where could transport connectivity be improved and who would benefit?
  • Specific interventions to improve connectivity in the region.

The first two studies will conclude in spring 2022, when a report will be published setting out the package of interventions.

EEH is planning 10 connectivity studies in total, with Swindon-Didcot-Oxford following in due course.
