Looking Out for Nature: citizen science workshop

Banbury Museum/Spiceball Park

Saturday 16th May 2026, 10am – 2pm


This workshop consists of two parts, starting with the theory behind nature recording, why it’s important and how to do it, including an introduction to which apps and technology to use. After a short break put your new found knowledge to the test as we head into Spiceball Park for the practical aspect of the workshop.

Join us for our Annual General Meeting at Thame Barns Centre, a converted barn in Thame with beautiful gardens, for 3rd June from 5:30 pm.

More details to come but our speaker for the event will be the award-winning freelance travel writer and author, Caroline Mills. Caroline’s new book, This Is Not My Land, is a personal and powerful memoir of owning and managing a 65-acre farm on the edge of the north Cotswolds with her husband.


Wild Oakingham Guided Tour

We’re delighted to be able to offer a CPRE members a guided tour of Wild Oakingham, 200 acres of former horse paddock and silage for horses, now a gorgeous rewilding site near Nettlebed in south Oxon. After 4 years of rewilding, the site is now producing some exciting results in terms of abundance and biodiversity.

The walk will be led by site owner, Jane Ibrahim, and Alistair Driver, Director of Rewilding Britain and Senior Advisor to the Global Rewilding Alliance.

Tickets are just £5 for members (£8 for non-members) and include lunch.
