1/2 Day Foraging Course

The Ridgeway, Watlington

Saturday 18th October 2025, 10am – 1pm

Join CPRE Oxfordshire for a half day foraging course to learn about sustainable foraging and deepen your connection to nature. Find a new appreciation of local habitats, discover a sense of wonder at the edible world that surrounds us and meet like-minded people.

What to expect: Under the guidance of respected foraging expert, Lizzy Farmer, we’ll learn about sustainable foraging, gain knowledge around local habitats, and discover the food for free on our doorstep.

Starting at 10am, the session will begin with an introduction to foraging, including how to stay safe – and legal – before we set off for a walk around the hill, hunting out wild delicacies and rounding off the session with a shared picnic.

Participants are welcome to bring their own food, while Lizzy will share some homemade makes & bakes.

About Lizzy: With years of experience and a well-earned reputation working in the ever-growing foraging sector, Lizzy’s passion for nature and expertise in foraging have made her a sought-after guide for those eager to explore the natural world through foraging walks, engaging seminars, and immersive workshops.

Dietary requirements: Please share any dietary needs at least 7 days before the event.

What to bring: Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring comfortable shoes for walking and plenty of water to stay refreshed. You may wish to bring a picnic blanket or something to sit on.

Weather: Sessions go ahead in all weather (unless conditions are extreme).

Parking: You can park in the Watlington village car park, OX49 5BT.

Price: Standard tickets are £40, CPRE members £32 (20% off)
