Challenging times for the Oxfordshire countryside....

Responding to the publication of South Oxfordshire's Local Plan, CPRE outlines its initial concerns and recommendations.

This new guidance from CPRE contains advice to help community groups develop strong landscape policies in their Neighbourhood Plans, to influence future development decisions that would affect their local area.

South Oxfordshire District Council has published its draft Local Plan, outlining its preferred development plans for the District through until 2033. The consultation ends on 17 May.

The consultation on Cherwell District Council's Local Plan Options Paper closes on Monday 16 January. 

The Oxfordshire Growth Board this week announced numbers and locations for the allocation of Oxford’s unmet housing need around the Districts. CPRE has condemned the process as fundamentally undemocratic.

As part of its Food and Farming Foresight series, National CPRE has issued a new report ‘New model farming: resilience through diversity'. 

West Oxfordshire District Council has commissioned a partial update of the 2014 SHMA as part of its Local Plan process. A public consultation will run until 26th August.

The Vale of White Horse is consulting on its Main Modifications to the Local Plan - the public consultation runs from 20 July to 14 September. The Vale is simultaneously consulting on its draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).
