Protect the Vale Green Belt Walk!

Please join local residents and campaigners for this gentle 2.5mile stroll from Radley to Sunningwell through the Vale Green Belt (NB at least one stile).

The Vale of White Horse District Council is hoping to allocate a number of sites in this area for development.  A planning inspector will be looking at these proposals at the start of February, so this is a great chance to find out why we think the area is worth protecting and help us raise awareness of the threats.

This event is being co-ordinated by SPADE (Sunningwell Parishioners Against Damage to the Environment), the North Abingdon Local Plan Group and other local groups. We will be following a section of the Oxford Green Belt Way, the circular walk around Oxford created by CPRE.

Meet at 10am at St James Church, Radley.

Light refreshments will be available at Sunningwell Village Hall (and toilets) and then you can either walk back or we hope to be able to arrange transport for those who wish.

Fresh air, a good walk and a chance to show how much we value our lovely landscape - what could be better?
