WODC introducing Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) - have your say!

West Oxfordshire District Council is consulting on a charge for new development called the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) - the consultation closes on 10 March 2017.

What is the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)?

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) allows local planning authorities to raise funds from developers who are carrying out building projects in their area. CIL can be charged on most new developments on a pound (£) per square metre basis and can be used for improvements to local infrastructure such as roads, schools and open spaces.

The Council first published its CIL draft charging schedule in March 2015 and would now like to know your views on a revised draft charging schedule.

The consultation documents are available to view online on the WODC website.

The consultation closes on 10 March 2017.
