Respond to consultation on proposed expansion of Seacourt Park and Ride by Thursday 1 October

Monday, 28 September 2015 11:21

Oxford City Council is bringing forward plans to extend Seacourt Park and Ride, off the Botley Road, West Oxford. The proposed extension is part of the Council’s aim of reducing traffic and congestion in the city centre.

Before submitting its planning application, Oxford City Council is seeking residents' views on its plans to extend Seacourt Park and Ride.

The Council is proposing to create approximately 700 extra parking spaces, provide new pedestrian and cycle access, and enhance the landscape buffer along the site boundary.

The extension site of the P&R is located within the Oxford Green Belt and is in a flood risk zone.

Comments need to be submitted by Thursday 1 October.

The planning application will be submitted in late October 2015, with a planning decision by early 2016. Work on the site will start in Spring 2016, with the expansion site open for use in Summer 2017.
