CPRE Oxfordshire is shocked that the City Council has increased the amount of employment space allocated in the proposed Northern Gateway Area Action Plan (AAP) by 25,000m2, above the level previously agreed by an Inspector. 

We're asking South Oxon parish councillors to reject the SHMA figures put forward in the District Council's consultation

CPRE Oxfordshire is today (Thursday 15 May) launching a new campaign – Protect Rural Oxfordshire (PRO) – to challenge the Oxfordshire Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA), which suggests that 100,000 houses are needed in Oxfordshire by 2031, up from an earlier estimate of 54,700.

Woodstock under housing threat

Woodstock Action Group is asking for your support in objecting to a new housing development proposed for former playing fields.   

The Vale of White Horse draft Local Plan is proposing 1,700 houses at seven sites in the Green Belt.   But it is also suggesting taking nearly 20 more sites out of the Green Belt to make development easier in the future.  How many holes can you put in a belt before it falls apart?  

Please respond to the consultation by 4 April.

'Staggering' Oxfordshire housing figures

A new piece of research has suggested that Oxfordshire needs 100,000 more houses by 2031 - an increase of nearly 40%!

Please let your District Councils know that these figures are not sound, not achievable and not wanted!
