Abingdon Reservoir back on the cards!

Thames Water has finally published its draft Water Resources Management Plan 2019 - the Abingdon reservoir is included in the Plan, but is pushed back until 2043.

The Abingdon Reservoir Proposal

CPRE Oxfordshire opposes the proposed Upper Thames Reservoir near Abingdon. Thames Water should concentrate on reducing leakage, improving water conservation and identifying more environmentally sustainable solutions to future water supply.

Water matters

It is said that the south east of England has less water per head available than countries such as Sudan. This puts a premium on conserving every drop we have in the most sensible way possible, including reducing use and waste, and recycling wherever feasible.
