Northern Gateway emerging proposals

Despite concerns over traffic congestion, air pollution and threats to the Green Belt, the Northern Gateway area of Oxford has been allocated for development.   Developers are now consulting on their initial proposals.

CPRE Oxfordshire is very disappointed with this outcome. We, along with many others responded to the consultation on the AAP, objecting to the Plan on the grounds that it was 'unsound'.

Northern Gateway - College blocks housing?

With an Inspector this week beginning to examine Oxford City's plans for the Northern Gateway area, CPRE has uncovered the fact that it is one of the landowners, St John's College, which may have scuppered the chances of much-needed housing on the site.

CPRE Oxfordshire is shocked that the City Council has increased the amount of employment space allocated in the proposed Northern Gateway Area Action Plan (AAP) by 25,000m2, above the level previously agreed by an Inspector.
