JOB VACANCY: Communications Manager (P-T)

Tuesday, 16 January 2018 22:23

Join the team!  CPRE Oxfordshire is looking for a part-time Communications Manager to help us spread the message about the need for the right development in the right place...

 Communications Manager (Part-time - 15 hours a week, 2 year contract)

CPRE Oxfordshire was founded in 1931 and has been actively protecting Oxfordshire’s countryside and rural communities for over 80 years. We are part of the national charity CPRE (The Campaign to Protect Rural England).

There are many challenges ahead for Oxfordshire, including the Oxford-Cambridge ‘growth corridor’ and Expressway which would transform our rural county. Our campaigns need to be more effective than ever, so that we can support the right development in the right place. Can you help?

We want to step up our communications to help attract volunteers, recruit members and increase income. We need a passionate all-rounder – someone with exceptional communication skills who is as happy with social media as traditional press. You need to be quick on your feet, but with an eye for detail, a tactful diplomat but resilient in the face of opposition.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our communications and engage new audiences with CPRE Oxfordshire’s campaigns, for the benefit of our local countryside.

This is a two year post in the first instance. Salary c. £25,000 pro rata, 15 hours per week, ideally over 3 days. The post is based at our Branch office in Watlington with flexibility for some home working.

A job description and further background information is available below.
