NIC report on Ox-Cam says lots and nothing

Written by CPRE Oxfordshire

National Infrastructure Commission backs major new growth corridor, but no public consultation.  More news in today's budget?

CPRE Oxfordshire is calling for a public inquiry into the Ox-Cam growth corridor and Expressway, so that decisions are open and transparent.

New CPRE report highlights development pressures in Cotswolds, Chilterns and North Wessex Downs Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

LAST CHANCE!  Cherwell District Council's consultation on proposals to build nearly 4,000 houses on Oxford's Green Belt closes at 5pm, Tuesday 10 October.

See CPRE Oxfordshire's response here.

Government is backing the idea of creating a “knowledge corridor” between Oxford and Cambridge, including a new "Expressway" and a significant increase in housing along the route.

CPRE & community groups will be appearing in front of an Inspector to seek improvements to West Oxfordshire's draft Local Plan, alongside mass ranks of developers!  Why not come along and support us?

The deadline for comments on the Vale of White Horse District's Local Plan Part 2, including further allocations of housing and policies on a wide range of environmental issues, is 5pm, Thursday 4 May.  Have your say!
