CPRE Oxfordshire is always seeking volunteers. We have a wide range of opportunities available, all over the county. It doesn’t matter how much time you can give – whether you can make a regular commitment or just help out for an occasional hour, we would still love to hear from you.

While skills and experience are necessary for some roles, there are plenty of tasks you could help us with whatever your knowledge or background and we will provide training as appropriate.

So what's in it for you?
Volunteering is for everyone: you'll meet new people, use your skills, learn new ones, have fun and do worthwhile things. It's a great way to explore and enjoy our local landscape. And you’ll be doing your bit to protect our countryside.

Volunteer needed in Bicester/Chesterton

Bicester and Chesterton are facing the threat of exponential development with plans for over 10,000 new homes and employment sites creating 18,500 new jobs.

Our current volunteers are looking for some additional help to look at and respond to these proposals as they come forward, seeking to influence development positively in a way that protects our countryside and green spaces.

As the UK’s first designated Garden Town, CPRE Oxfordshire would like to ensure Bicester retains and enhances its existing green spaces and surrounding countryside.

If you live in or around Bicester, have an interest in planning issues and would like to get actively involved in protecting your local area we would be delighted to hear from you. We are looking for someone who can give a few hours a week to help the team to review planning applications and contribute to responses, with guidance and support as required.  Capacity to liaise with community action groups and/or spark community action would also be useful.
