Volunteers wanted right now!
CPRE Oxfordshire is always seeking volunteers. We have a wide range of opportunities available, all over the county. It doesn’t matter how much time you can give – whether you can make a regular commitment or just help out for an occasional hour, we would still love to hear from you.

While skills and experience are necessary for some roles, there are plenty of tasks you could help us with whatever your knowledge or background, and we will provide training as appropriate.

So what's in it for you?
Volunteering is for everyone: you'll meet new people, use your skills, learn new ones, have fun and do worthwhile things. It's a great way to explore and enjoy our local landscape. And you’ll be doing your bit to protect our countryside.
For younger people, volunteering looks great on your CV and can open up all kinds of contacts and opportunities.
For older people, it's a great way to stay active and involved.

We have an ongoing need for:

  • publicity volunteers to help us communicate our messages to various audiences, including the media and the general public, to raise the profile of our campaigns and increase our membership
  • media monitoring volunteer help us keep an eye on what's happening and what's being said in the local and regional media. You'll be a 'news junkie' with an interest in the topics that affect our work: transport, housing, development, environment, water, energy and so on. More information
  • planning volunteers to help our district groups monitor and respond to local planning applications and consultations
  • district committee members to help steer and guide our work locally in the districts
  • fundraising volunteers to help us raise money from individual donors, from grants and trusts, and from companies so we can continue our work to protect the county we love from inappropriate development
  • local village reps in the Henley and South Oxon area to help us keep a close eye on what's going on. All you need is enthusiasm and passion for protecting our rural heritage.
