Oxfordshire County Council passes the application to build the Cogges Link Road

16th February 2009

Oxfordshire County Council passed the application to build the Cogges Link Road on Monday 16 February, 2010.

While CPRE West Oxfordshire and Witney First, who have campaigned tirelessly against the road, were disappointed at the council's decision, the story is not yet over since the landowner, James Mawle, has stated that he will apply for judicial review and claim the maximum compensation when subject to compulsory purchase.

The Witney Town Green application by Witney First will also have to be determined, which will hold things up further.
