Oxford Mail joins call for npower to halt work until Town Green Status is decided for Radley Lakes

The following editorial appeared in the Oxford Mail.

Mockery

RWE npower may have planning permission to dump waste from Didcot Power Station in Thrupp Lake at Radley.

But it would be unreasonable if it restarted work before the inquiry into whether the lake should receive protected status is concluded.

It would make a mockery of holding the inquiry, and would be interpreted as treating the hosts of objectors — and the inquiry inspector — with contempt.

RWE npower should be patient and await the inquiry decision.
