Water matters

It is said that the south east of England has less water per head available than countries such as Sudan. This puts a premium on conserving every drop we have in the most sensible way possible, including reducing use and waste, and recycling wherever feasible.

Hedgerows matter

Hedgerows are vital for the health of the countryside, but are sadly often overlooked. Many of them are thousands of years old. In a landscape increasingly eroded by monocultural farming practices, hedgerows are the pockets of biodiversity the countryside depends on.

What we think about landscapes

The diversity of the Oxfordshire landscape is being steadily eroded. There is a spreading blandness and loss of character afflicting Oxford and our small towns and the countryside in which they are set. We're ending up with 'anywhere places'.
